Chapter 42

Today’s the day I officially become this “someone’s” wife. My mother picked out the dress; she said I looked like a queen. My hair is tied into a beautiful updo which I find hard to describe but overall it’s perfect. My makeup artist was amazed by the results once she was done and I too was amazed. I was ready to walk down, I am nervous but I knew that it didn’t matter. I wore my earrings and stared at my reflection. My mother told me to remove my necklace but I rejected, I just couldn’t… I couldn’t possibly allow myself to let go of what I had built, what we built back then.

I heard random noises coming out of my room, more like Elmo talking or whoever it was it was distracting then someone laughing. Whenever I opened my eyes everything seemed so foggy and my eyelids were heavy, my whole body ached; my bones ache and I can’t stop shivering. I covered my whole body and suddenly I’m taken away by my dreams.

I woke up again, maybe hours later and I realized that I woke up from a nightmare. I struggled to go back to sleep so instead I woke up, sitting still registering my surroundings. I stared at the ring on my finger; my wedding ring. The ring that bonds two together, and hopefully they live happily ever after. Who could it possibly be? How did I end up on my bed?

Oh….. Right. Now that explains it all.

Chapter 41

She reached out for her phone; she wanted to know who the caller was at this time. Something fell on the floor. She stared at the screen and answered; she sat up straight then switched on the lamp. Someone accidently called her at 3 AM “Sorry, wrong number”. She sighed; she had trouble going back to sleep. She got out of bed but accidently stumbled on the small box. She picked it up and opened it… right there, it said it all. Why her mother told everyone she was taken, but who could it possibly be? There it was her engagement ring; an alluring princess cut diamond with small round diamonds surrounding it and all around the ring. She stared at that beautiful monster which made her cry and wore it on her own... Her heart felt secure once she placed it on her finger. It was perfect.

Chapter 40

Essalam 3alaikm Mamaty.
W3laikm essalam. Sh7alich?
B5air, wnty?
El7emdellah b5air. Fai looked stunning yesterday and 7amad was so happy. Allah y5aleehm w yhaneehm.
Ameen.
3gbaalich.
Madiyah remained silent. She did not want to say anything; breakfast was all about the wedding and who they met and the arrangements the way things were set up and so on. Her mother had told her she already got some phone calls from G6ar asking about Madiyah but her mother said that she was taken.
Taken?! But mom I’m still single… She chocked on her hot chocolate
Your father and I arranged your engagement party which will take place here.
But mother I don’t know who he is or anything about him!!! You can’t just go and accept any random person assuming that I might accept. I told you I don’t want to get married.
Are you just going to run away like always? You think it’s a game? Fine do what you want, as you like but I’m not happy with your behavior and your decisions.
I am not getting married. I will not repeat myself!
Don’t wait for prince charming to come, he’s getting married.
Ouch. That was painful although her mother did not mention any names she knew exactly what she had meant that 5leefh was getting married- indirectly. She stared at her mother furiously; she pushed her breakfast away, and stomped back to her room. She locked the door and headed towards her living room and locked that door as well. She lied down on her sofa thinking about him. Was it all a lie? The things he had told her when she left the restaurant back in London on that dim cold snowy day? It couldn’t be! He promised her. A classic rude, fake, liar, but what about the necklace? Why the broken heart? Did it symbolize something? She knew she needed time but time for what? She was alone, lost and scared, sucked in the depth of her thoughts.

Chapter 39

The days have passed, and Madiyah had started a new life in her new university.
One day, as she got home getting ready for Fai’s wedding- yes so soon because 7amad couldn’t wait any longer without her-  she went to her room only to find a small box right in the middle of her bed with rose petals scattered around it and a small envelope behind it. She ignored it and walked in her closet, she picked out her dress; had a bath then headed straight to the hotel.
The girls were ready to walk out and head to the stage. Madiyah helped Fai with her dress and veil and so did Lamya. They entered the halls as Fai made her way to her stage everyone seemed happy. 7amad’s family all wanted to have the wedding in Qatar instead of the other way round -which is Dubai. Once Fai sat down, the girls danced all night. And of course many women couldn’t help but ask who the dazzling two girls were that were dancing on the stage. They then knew that Lamya was married so they shifted their attention towards Madiyah. The wedding was coming to an end, and 7amad couldn’t resist not looking at Fai; so beautiful, so mesmerizing it was truly pure love.

Madiyah drove back home just in time to catch up for Fajr prayer and go back to sleep, and she did. She had a shower, wore her pjs and slept. However the mystery of the ring remained, Madiyah dropped the petals on the floor and carried the ring and envelope and placed them on the side bed table.

Chapter 38

It was now time for Marwan to graduate which meant that they all had to travel to London to attend his graduation.

In London
They arrived and unpacked their bags, once Madiyah entered the house she felt the memories splash on her face like freezing cold water. Her emotions were neutral; it has been months now. They were all tired from the trip and slept soundlessly.
She got dressed for Marwan’s graduation. She got out her fur coat and clothes and a fur hat, then applied a streak of eyeliner and dark blood red lipstick.
They arrived at the hall where the graduation will take place. Madiyah removed her trench coat and placed it on her seat; she sat beside Lamya and waited for the rest of her cousins to arrive. Fai sat on her left followed by Man9oor and 7amdan .The lights were dimmed and the music filled the hall with anticipation whilst everyone waited for the graduates to make their way towards their seats. Bit by bit the graduates walked in, making their way on the stage. Madiyah’s heart stopped once she saw that familiar face; his charmingly bewitching mesmeric stunning handsomeness made her heart twinge. And right there when he stood in his place his whole body froze, the way her dazzling beauty seduced him, the way she stood as the national anthem played; he watched her and she did the same as if they were the only ones in the hall; just them, the two of them. Love remained bonded; buried deep within them. One thing for sure; she stood out between the thousands sitting in the hall. The small heartbroken necklace danced when the lights shone just a bit which caught his eye immediately.
They called out Marwan’s name; she stood up with pride and clapped for him. Then came 7amad and Fai couldn’t help but jump and whistle out for him, her excitement made them all laugh, followed by other graduates then 5leefh’s made his way. The man congratulated him awarding him with a certificate, he turned his body toward the camera and right there his smile bloomed and the sudden feeling of her whole body being pulled towards him, he stared at her and his smile grew wider; she wanted to run towards him and hug him but it wasn’t possible, of course not.
Later her parents invited them all for dinner after the graduation. And the time passed by killing her slowly, she was too scared to even eye contact him yet they all seemed to act perfectly normal… him too. It was only her who was a bit unsure of what was going on. She couldn’t stay any longer; right after the starters were served she excused herself and walked out for fresh air. She wore her coat and hat; she did not want to go back there.
She sat out there on the bench hopelessly waiting for them all to finish.  Couples passing in front of her holding hands, some were hugging and others kissing.
Madiyah. He called her name, the way he said her name like a charming melody. She shut her eyes tightly.
Leave me alone. She said in fear. She stood there facing him. As the snowflakes slowly made their way, small white, falling slowly on the ground. They made their way, scattered around her and on her hat and hair, she left it just the way it is landing on her fur coat. She looked in his eyes, it seemed to be a blur; his face barely showed from the dim lights around them. Her hands were shaking cold. He stepped closer towards her to hold them.
Don’t come any closer. She stuttered.
What’s wrong?
Have you ever felt the need or craved a person that you knew you’d never get, a person that has easily slipped away from your hands. A diamond, a star that can never be replaced, the light at the end of the tunnel that reflects hope and faith and belief. Did your tears ever stop once you knew how precious this person is? Truth is, once it is engraved deep in your heart; the only way to stop it is to keep it. Never have I ever felt in need of someone. But now I do. I do need you. My life not only did it change dramatically but emotionally as well and chemically and urgh well… everything! I’m just angry because I can’t express the things I want to tell you, I can’t… I can’t gather enough things or thoughts to say or to do to sum up how not only important but how my life will end up being without you!!!
Madiyah you have no idea... Life is hell without you. Not a single minute goes by without me thinking about you. I can no longer tolerate the pain; I can no longer tolerate not having you around. Madiyah you have got to understand that what happened between us wasn’t a joke, it will never be. I love you...
You have one thing no one does and that is the key to my heart. I give you what I have kept locked away for so long, treasured within me; waiting for someone to discover it and that is deep adoration for someone special. But I was fooled by you, by your love. And this time it isn’t you who walks out of my life… I’m the one who walks out.
Just say yes. She watched him in confusion. And that was it, she walked away from him leaving him dumbfounded and baffled. The last words he had said echoed in her mind, heart and soul.
As promised, a long post.
Hope you all loved it

Chapter 37

Hours later she woke up. She felt her body stiffen as she moved, it ached badly. She got up, switched off the TV and had a shower.
Madam, your mother wants in you in the living room - here upstairs.
Thank you for letting me know; I’ll go now.
She entered the living room and saw her mother sitting beside her father on the long sofa. She lied down and rested her head on her mother’s lap just like when she was a child. Some parts of her hair were wet, her mother played with her hair.
You look tired, did you sleep?
Just a bit…
You did an amazing job yesterday I’m very proud of you!
Thank you.
Madiyah I want to talk to you about something important, me and your father think it is best for you to know now than later.
What is it? She sat up straight.
7abeebty, fe kammin wa7da et9latly elyoum yboonich. – y56boonich.
Masra3! Ma kamalna esboo3... No wait ma kamalna youm!! And mom honestly I want you to stop it right there. I don’t want you to continue.
Madiyah mayistuwy! You do realize that over 15 men wanted you and you reject and this is without the ones that contacted your grandparents and uncle in Kuwait!? You can’t reject now, you’re at the perfect age. Fdait roo7ich, la tsta3ylain at least know who they are.
Mom I don’t want to. She cried, her heart banging hard in her chest. I am not getting married. End of discussion. She kissed her mother’s head. I’m sorry mom but I can’t.
She went to her room and locked the door. She sat down and digested the day or the days, what had happened so far. Why the things that happened, happened. And to her greatest conclusion crying to sleep was the only solution holding her small broken hearted diamond necklace....

Sorry for the short post!! We'll be posting as soon as possible.
Lots of kisses to all of you xxx!!!!!

Chapter 36

A month has passed and it is now time for Madiyah to get ready for Lamya’s wedding which will take place here in Dubai, she had gained back most of the weight she had lost. Secretly Lamya was overwhelmed when she knew her brother had finally fell in love with the right lady and that is Madiyah, and so she had become so close to Madiyah when she had come back.
She drove to the hotel and went straight up to her suite, where her makeup artist and hairstylist were waiting for her and where she was going to meet Fai. They began with Lamya who was getting ready in her room and Madiyah who was in the other room, the hairstylist began; Madiyah wanted a braid so the hairstylist went for a side french braid, then did a bun. Once the hairstylist was done the makeup artist began with her magic; she did not want to cover Mady’s beauty and the richness of her natural tanned tone. She made her makeup natural and simple, nothing too much but her fully prosperous lips were painted a rich blood red shade. She got her earrings out and wore them. Next it was Fai; her new cut hairstyle from short at the back to long at the front was straightened. And eyes were a smoky shade and her lips were red. She had gone for the full set of diamonds instead of just earrings.
^^ Mady                                                                                                      ^^ Fai
The girls waited for Lamya to get ready. It was soon time for Lamya to go down; as her room door gradually opened the girls were amazed by her beauty, the way she had changed. Her makeup so simple and so little and her hair was just perfect with the veil, it was opened and it fell loosely around her.
The girls walked behind carrying her veil and adjusting her dress, they made their way downstairs. Madiyah’s heart pounded just thinking of being in Lamya’s position right now was scary yet the joy of finally being a wife. There she was; Lamya walking down the aisle; it was her night. A night to remember. She got up on her stage walking slowly then she made her way towards her chair.
After Lamya was seated, woman began forming into groups and going up on stage to congratulate her, and for Madiyah and Fai they danced all night long. As Madiyah made her way down the aisle a woman called out for her and asked who she was; from there many women asked about her. She then felt uncomfortable by how they all stared at her. The girls she met in Kuwait were all there; she sat down with them then soon she had to go up to Lamya and make sure everything was alright. Soon the DJ had announced that the men are coming and the women covered up. Madiyah put on her translucent wedding abaya and sat down waiting for them to make their way in. The song began and A7mad made his way in; he looked sharp with a shy excited smile. The train of men that followed A7mad were his brothers and father, 5leefh and Mady’s father and brothers. Her eyes followed 5leefh as he made his way; he was handsomer than ever, a sudden jolt injected her; of fear, shame, yet she craved him more than ever oh-so-much. She wanted to exit the building but Om 5leefh has asked her if she could take a picture with them all.
Insay ele estuwa, ta3aly 5aleena nt9awar. This is a new start. Ta3aly 7abeebty. She gently grabbed her hand, smiled at her and walked with her towards them. Madiyah shyly made her way up. Salimat 3alaihm klhm, awalhm ubooha.
Essalam 3alaikm. She said as she got closer to 5leefh she was staring at the floor.
W3laikm essalam…
A thousand knives stabbed him as he watched her kiss her cousins and not him. She congratulated A7mad. 5leefh couldn’t take his eyes off of her and his mother tried occupying him but she failed. They took a couple of pictures together and then Madiyah left the stage. She made her way out and towards the toilet. She felt as if she was about to suffocate from the pressure and the way people watching her- every move she makes to seeing the love of her life; 5leefh. She pushed the door open and walked in. She needed some fresh air, but once the men will leave she’ll make her way out. She heard someone come in and acted as if she was adjusting her hair and lipstick. The woman's eyes scanned her from head to toe then asked her ‘the daughter of whom?’ as if she was investigating her. The way the woman stared at her was quirky and the way she asked was in a way... desperate? Madiyah excused herself and rushed towards the hall. The men had left and the women were about to finish having dinner. The couple cut the cake and soon the ladies served it to everyone.
After hours the hall was empty and it was nearly time for the Fajr prayer. Madiyah and Om 5leefh were the only ones left and somehow it was awkward.
Thank you for everything Madiyah.
It was nothing; Lamya is a sister she deserves more than that.  She felt tongue-tied and unable to say anything. She knew she soon had to leave and she did, she kissed her aunt goodbye and walked towards her car. She got in and made her way back home. At 6 AM Madiyah arrived home and Man9oor just woke up. Madiyah was forced to have breakfast with him because he doesn’t take no for an answer and that was the first meal she had since yesterday. She took the lift and arrived upstairs; she entered her changing room and got out of her dress. She made a bubble bath and got in then switched on the TV, flipping aimlessly through the channels; she kept it on Oprah Winfrey then realized the episode was about to end so she flipped to a romance movie. Her head rested peacefully on the end of her tub and she closed her eyes.
